I made pancakes for breakfast on Sunday. They were very good! The recipe was one from a book I borrowed from Kailee for my Heart for Service class.

Today I went to gymnastics and it was fun! We did somersaults and cartwheels, which I can't do very good but I will work on it. Brooke is a nice teacher. We prayed before we started. Then we went to Awana and it was cowboy night so I wore a handkerchief around my neck.

Phoebe got new clothes from Costco and I took pictures because she looked so cute! We are going to buy Addison a matching outfit like the bottom picture so they can match when she comes to visit.

Yesterday I went to Awana and passed all my sections. I got a 3 musketeers for passing 3 sections and a butterfinger for bringing a friend, Heidi. Before Awana, we went to Shiloh's church to sew with her and Naomi. We made doll clothes. I made a pair of jeans, Naomi made a pillow, Heidi made a dress and Shiloh made a dress. We didn't use patterns. It was fun.
The twins made a mess while we were all busy.
Today I am going to paint my box and pick a room to copy. I'll put pictures of it on tomorrow.

Today I am going over verses I have already said at Awana but will say again tonight to pass 4 sections. Ephesians 6:1 - 2 Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. Honor your father and your mother which is the first commandment with promise. And you fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
2 Peter 1:5-7 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

Choir practice was good yesterday. We did two songs. Awake, awake! and I forgot the other one. Both are Christmas songs. It was hard to go back and forth with the boys. I think it will sound pretty though. In the concert next week I am playing the trumpet in On the Edge of Tomorrow and Willow Creek Festival. They are pretty songs. I'm playing the triangle in a song I don't remember the name for.

We may go get $2 waffle cones at Olivia's friend Jacklyn's work. She works at a cute little store in Carlsborg that sells pies and toys. Olivia wants to make and sell pizzas there but the owners are probably not going to stay open in the summer.

I'm going to band today and we are starting choir practice for Christmas. First I have to do some school work and get Levi ready for nap. A tractor just got here to start putting the barn together.

I went to the symphony with daddy and Sophie. There was an oboist and she could hold her breath for a long time. Hannah was in the concert. She played the violin. I talked to her afterward and got her autograph on the program. The choir teacher played the piano for a very long time, 25 minutes.
Today I'll do schoolwork: Math, English, Science, practice trumpet and Awana and maybe work on my box room. We are going to the bookmobile in Gardiner today so we don't have to take the books all the way back to the Port Hadlock library.
The holes for the poles for the barn are being inspected today. It is muddy outside!
I may or may not have band practice tonight. Mr. Tutton may be out of town still.
Next week on Wednesday I have my first gymnastics class with Brooke. I am excited about it.

Charlotte cut my hair giving my side bangs a fresh trim. She trimmed my hair too. She also cut Joey's, Sophie's and Chloe's hair.

I had fun one day giving Phoebe a spa treatment. I painted her nails after pushing back the cuticles. Rubbed her hands and feet with lavender lotion. Put a headband on her and massaged face cream onto her face. She got a spray of honey scented body spray. She loved the attention and Sophie and I had fun having a shop with pretty music playing.

Choose was good yesterday. I drew a stick with a bunch of green balls all over it in my nature journal. It was raining outside so Mrs. Smith brought some plants, an old bee hive and a pumpkin inside for us to draw. In US Presidents we talked about requirements to be a president. You have to be at least 35, you have to have lived in the United States for 14 years and be born here. In Kailee's class we made little squares with buttons on them to learn backstitch and sewing on buttons. We picked out cloth that she brought for our rooms we're making in the boxes. I didn't take anything because I like some material that I already have. This week I will paint the inside of my box. I'm going to make a bedroom and my mom gave me an Ikea catalog to look through to get ideas. We are also supposed to cut out ideas to put in our folders. In swimming creatures class we filled out some more in our lapbooks. Mrs. Chisick was not there because she is sick so Mrs. Knowles was our teacher. She read out of the Apologia Sea Creatures book. Then I went to band and it was fun. In advanced band I get to play the triangle and that is fun. In intermediate and jazz band I play the trumpet and I really like the song On the Edge of Tomorrow. We are playing at a nursing home in a couple of weeks.

Tonight I am going on a date with my dad and Sophia. We are going to the symphony. Hannah Gish is playing in it. I am going to dress up. First, though, we are going to a birthday party for a girl at church Janey. She is turning 10. We got her a cute knit hat and a shirt from Old Navy.

Here's my email address:

I'd really like to read your blog, Tirzah!

Today I'm doing math which is much easier now that I get some tutoring from Mrs. Elam at band. They decided to do a math lab for kids that are waiting around for their band practice. She is answering questions I have and she gives us multiplication quizzes to help build speed.

Tonight is Awana. I have two very long verses to say:

2 Peter 1:5-7 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness. To godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

Whew! I hope I can pass these verses tonight. The theme tonight is Baseball and we have to wear a baseball cap. It will probably have my dad's work name on it and not a team name. Oh well!

I better go do my English assignment. I have to write a paragraph on have a gloomy mind while doing a hard assignment. Yesterday I had to write a paragraph on having a cheerful mind while doing a hard assignment. Do you think it makes a difference? I am finding it does!
